Case Study

Construction of a Converter Station for subsea electricity link between Norway and UK, enabling the UK to import hydropower from Norway and export wind power to Norway thus increasing the security of electricity supplies for both countries. The converter station involves construction of a series of steel frame buildings, clad with grey insulated metal panels, within a securely fenced compound. Cast insitu sub & superstructure concrete elements were complex and included several ducting routes and cast in elements
