Case Study
Our main scope of deliverables was the main cut and fill, substructures, drainange and attenuation systems although we did encounter some challanges with the quality of the ground conditions.
Post demolition test results were very poor with a low CBR. We undertook specialist limestone remediation works to improve the exisiting ground. This was achieved by modification of the existing material with lime. The surface layer was then stabilised with cement. On completion of the stabilisation works CBR results were vastly improved which allowed the construction of the new building to progress as planned. This improved the ground conditions and prevented the need to remove a vast quantity of unsuitable material to tip and the import of graded material.
